£34,416 per annum + PRP + Benefits

Encompass delivers a wide range of services including homelessness support and adult social care.

For this job role, you will be focused on delivering a face to face service, supporting rough sleepers and single homeless households to resolve their housing needs, and improve their wellbeing.

We have two positions available for this role, one permament and one on a 1 year fixed term basis.

In this job role you will:

  • Assist the service user to identify suitable statutory and non statutory services, and options for education, employment and other support services
  • Advise and motivate service users as to how they can maximise their chances of securing and maintaining accommodation
  • Develop and review solution focused and person centred support plans
  • Accompany service users to appointments, including property viewings
  • Attend outreach sessions at various locations across Sutton

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A good understanding of housing options, housing legislation, benefit entitlement, immigration, training and employment opportunities and welfare reform
  • Significant experience of providing information, advice and guidance to individuals with complex needs
  • Experience of motivational interviewing or similar techniques
  • A customer focused attitude
  • The ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
