Encompass delivers a wide range of services including homelessness support and adult social care.

For this job role, you will be responsible for maximising income collection and reducing arrears for all households being supported by the Property Management team.

In this job role you will:

  • Carry out independent interventions & assessments to identify service user needs
  • Ensure timely recovery and enforcement action to maximise income collection
  • Identify cases where the Council’s legal team is required and then collating court paperwork
  • Attend evictions, ensuring vacant possession is obtained
  • Make decisions on whether a Statutory Duty should end
  • Agree achievable payment plans with households

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 Part VI and VII and welfare benefits
  • Experience of income collection
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability and experience to manage difficult conversations

  • A full-time position on a 1 year fixed-term contract
  • Performance Related Pay (PRP) - up to 10% of salary
  • 6.5% employers' pension contribution
  • Work from home and the office in Sutton
  • 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
