The Position

We have new and exciting opportunities to join our organisation as a Targeted Housing Adviser.

Key tasks and responsibilities

This is an opportunity to work as part of a highly motivated team delivering the aims of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. You will be working in a front line housing service meeting clients and making enquiries about their homelessness circumstances. You will be carrying out Assessments, thinking outside the box and providing innovative solutions in Personalised Housing Plans to prevent and relieve homelessness for a diverse client base, therefore minimising the use of temporary accommodation whilst delivering excellent customer care.


This role requires flexible working, as the post holder will work within the community, from home and when necessary from the Encompass Head Office in Sutton.


Basic salary is £33,741 per annum. This is a full time (36 hours per week) post. There is an annual leave entitlement of 23 days plus Bank Holidays.

The Person

You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, an adaptable and resilient personality that thrives under pressure and be able to organise yourself to carry out multiple tasks and achieve outstanding results as part of a team.

You will be working alongside colleagues who are welcoming, friendly, supportive and motivated to reach their goals. You will be supported by managers who are nurturing and passionate about homelessness prevention and assisting vulnerable households.
